The FIFA World Cup 2022 continued on Tuesday with Group B taking center stage. The United States (1-2-0) held on to beat Iran (1-0-2) 1-0 at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha. The United States will face the Netherlands in the round of 16; Iran was eliminated with the result.

The United States dominated possession in the first half, winning the possession battle 61% to 39%. He also beat Iran 9-0 in the first 45 minutes.

Pulisic finished the first half, but he couldn’t continue for the second half. Aaronson will play left wing in his place.

Josh Sargent opened the second half for USA with a shot on target. The United States clearly doesn’t plan to play conservatively, even with the precious lead.
78′ – The United States hold on
Iran put the pressure on in the second half, but the United States maintained their one-goal lead.

Gregg Berhalter replaced two defenders – Walker Zimmermann and Shaq Moore – in an effort to retain the lead.

USA need a win to qualify for the knockout stage of the tournament – anything less would result in their elimination. Meanwhile, Iran only needs equality and England to beat Wales to secure their place in the next round.
