Let’s cut to the chase.
WWE SURVIVOR SERIES PREDICTIONS
Women’s War Games: Bianca Belair & Alexa Bliss & Asuka & Mia Yim & Becky Lynch vs. Becky Lynch Bayley & IYO Sky & Dakota Kai & Nikki Cross & Rhea Ripley
Geno Mrosko:There’s a lot at stake here, but the main problem I see is that you just can’t beat Becky Lynch in her rematch and the Raw Women’s Champion when they’re on the same team, even in a match like this where there are ways around those two things. Choose: CTRL Team Damage
Sean Rueter: The EST team fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous of these is “Never get involved in a ground war in Asia”, but a little less well known is this: “Never confront Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY when there is a cage on two rings.” Choose: CTRL Team Damage
Kyle Decker: That’s a tough call given the moving parts in this game. Normally I choose for the team of champions to lose, and maybe the champion to take the fall. In the script, Rhea pinning Bianca to plant the seeds for what seems like an inevitable match would make a lot of sense. Maybe Alexa is distracted by some Wyatt stuff and that helps fuel this team’s loss. It could go either way, but I just don’t see a clear path down the road if the babyface team takes it. Choose: CTRL Damage, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley
Claire Elizabeth: Becky Lynch is back and Mia Yim is a secret weapon designed to take on The Rhea Factor, so of course the babyface team gets the win here. Choice: Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair and Mia Yim
Cain A. Knight: Bianca and Becky are the two best stars of this game, and they are on the same team. Choice: Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair and Mia Yim
Marcus Benjamin: I can’t choose against Becky Lynch on the comeback and the current Red Brand champion. CTRL damage can take the L as long as they still hold titles and just through the natural chaotic mess that is War games. And as Cain said, picking against the top two stars on the same team just seems insane. Choice: Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and Mia Yim
war games for men: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso & Solo Gold & Sami Zayn) vs. The Bloodline The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus & Butch & Ridge Holland) & Drew McIntyre & Kevin Owens
Geno Mrosko: This match is not about Roman Reigns. For once, he takes the place of another wrestler from his own group, who looms large in the background, making everyone quietly laugh – Sami Zayn. I don’t know what will happen and I can’t wait to find out. I guess they take the loss and something big comes of it. Choose: Team Brutes and Buds
Sean Rueter:Because the reason you book dominant champions in matches like these is so they can lose without losing a belt, and because it figures as a big beat in the history of Honorary Uce: The Brutes & their Brawling Buddies
Kyle Decker: Seems like the perfect catalyst for the Bloodline to turn on the Honorary Uce, whether it’s because he takes the pins or because they need a scapegoat. It may not happen right after that show, but probably within a week of their loss. Choose: The Brawling Brutes and their friends
Claire Elizabeth: I don’t know, I think the story revolves around Sam Zayn and Kev Owens, but I don’t think the babyfaces need to win for that to happen. I think Sam is trying to kick off the match against his best friend, but the rest of the Bloodline more than catch up and one of the lesser brutes breaks for the win. Choose: Lineage
Cain A. Knight: I am now confident that WWE will not allow Roman Reigns to lose any match before WrestleMania 39, even a match like this where one of his teammates can take the loss. And Ridge Holland is just begging to be smothered or pinned down. Choose: Lineage
Marcus Benjamin: Roman isn’t working this show just to lose. Even if it’s not him who takes the pin. The dude is truly untouchable right now and is probably the best in the business. Choose: Lineage
SmackDown Women’s Championship: Ronda Rousey (c) against Shotzi
Geno Mrosko: Not even in dreams. Pick: Ronda Rousey
Sean Rueter: You have your tank reserve, Shotz. Hold on to that feeling. Pick: Ronda Rousey
Kyle Decker: Shotzi just needs to get by. But she doesn’t win. Pick: Ronda Rousey
Claire Elizabeth: Yeah I love Shotzi but she don’t care this Company. Pick: Ronda Rousey
Cain A. Knight: Shotzi has no prayer. Pick: Ronda Rousey
Marcus Benjamin: Well….Choose: Ronda Rousey
United States Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Austin Theory
Geno Mrosko: It’s so hard to tell with these three. You could give me a convincing argument for each of them and I would probably agree. I think that’s a good thing? Yeah! Pick: Bobby Lashley
Sean Rueter: You know what would be a good way to REALLY put all that failed cashing stuff in everyone’s collectible rearview mirror? Pick: Austin Theory
Kyle Decker: I view triple threat matches like these as ways to not take chances as they figure out what their endgame is. Pick: Seth Rollins
Claire Elizabeth:I really like the last two weeks of the not quite babyface Seth Rollins and want to see the title stay around his waist as we further develop his character as the bigger and better tentpole than Monday Night Raw has to offer. Pick: Seth Rollins
Cain A. Knight: I can’t wait to see many more open challenges from Seth Rollins. Pick: Seth Rollins
Marcus Benjamin: It looks great on paper. I don’t see Seth Rollins just losing a corner and a new championship. But Bobby and Austin won’t make it easy for you. Pick: Seth Rollins
AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor
Geno Mrosko: They can’t really make Styles lose again here, can they? Choose: AJ Styles
Sean Rueter: They say Papa Haitch is happy to push Finn, but by my reckoning, The Phenomenal One hasn’t won a televised match since early August. Judgment Day will also likely win the war, so The OC needs a few wins along the way. Choose: AJ Styles
Kyle Decker: I think Finn Bálor keeps picking up dubs with a here. Pick: Finn Balor
Claire Elizabeth: Mia takes care of Rhea, AJ takes care of Finn, this feud is over, doneski, caput, it’s not a feud anymore. Choose: AJ Styles
Cain A. Knight: The OC continues to lose and could definitely benefit from a win, but I don’t think the heels get their reward until Beth Phoenix returns. Pick: Finn Balor
Marcus Benjamin: I’m on the Day of Judgment side here. They have the momentum and every member looks great right now. Yes, I predict shenanigans in the Finnish victory, but still a Finnish victory. By hook or by crook, right? Pick: Finn Balor
This is how we see the card playing out.
