Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale have officially settled their divorceaccording to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
On Tuesday, they settled their divorce and filed a draft judgment. The 12-page document was signed by both parties and their attorneys.
According to the documents, the Food Network star will pay her ex-husband $2.2 million “in full, final and complete settlement and satisfaction of all claims between them.” Neither Bertinelli nor Vitale will receive child support, as “set out in the prenuptial agreement”, according to the documents.
On Tuesday, Bertinelli celebrated his divorce by posting a candid clip at the airport on the way to see his son – a 31-year-old musician Wolfgang Van Halen. “My attorney just called. The papers are all signed. They’re about to be filed,” she said.
Bertinelli added, “As of 11/22/22 I am officially f—— divorced. Happily divorced. To finish. It’s finally over.”
She ended the video with “Yes!” Bertinelli also wrote the words “happily divorced” on her images.
The Hot in Cleveland star filed for divorce in May, six months after application for legal separation in November 2021. According to documents PEOPLE obtained at the time, the proceedings were settled by a private judge, Hank Goldberg. This includes the issue of spousal support and attorney fees, as well as the bifurcated proceeding on the validity of the prenuptial agreement. Neither Bertinelli nor Vitale appeared in court.
After the Golden Globe winner filed for divorce from Vitale, he asked in June to be alimony awardedaccording to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, which PEOPLE obtained at the time.
According to the documents, Vitale also sought to prevent Bertinelli from seeking spousal support, in addition to challenging the validity of their prenuptial agreement.

In July, Bertinelli responded to her ex’s challenge to their prenup agreement by filing a 13-page complaint fork request her marital status because of financial issues in her divorce from Tom Vitale, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE. Court documents noted that Bertinelli was seeking “a speedy and separate trial on the issue of the validity of the prenuptial agreement.”
Ultimately, Bertinelli’s request meant a trial separate from any other outstanding divorce issues — a decision she made after Vitale asked to receive $50,000 a month in spousal support and $200,000. $ in legal fees at the beginning of July, according to the files.
Bertinelli’s request argued that their prenuptial agreement, signed in 2010 before the two were married, contains a “waiver of temporary and permanent spousal support.”
In court documents from the original divorce filing, Bertinelli cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution of their marriage.
Bertinelli Married Vitale in 2011 at a New Year’s Eve ceremony at their cliffside home in Malibu after several years of dating. They were introduced by his brother Patrick.

Bertinelli recently parted ways with the shoes she wore on their wedding day.
“I dropped a few things with @therealreal,” Bertinelli, 62, subtitle a series of photos that included sleek Jimmy Choo brown strappy heels with diamond studs. In the blink of an eye, Bertinelli also held what appeared to be two wedding rings in front of a classic Tiffany & Co. box.
“A few Tiffany rings with bad memories attached to them and a pair of shoes I wore to a wedding in January 2011 😉,” she said of her items, adding, “They should be ready in a few weeks! ✨💖.”
