The construction team building the future Obama Presidential Center alleged this week that workers found a noose at the site.
Lakeside Alliance – a joint venture of construction companies formed specifically to the presidential center – announced on Thursday that it was suspending work on the site due to the incident.
“We have zero tolerance for any form of bias or hate in our workplace. The Chicago Police Department did not call the rope a noose and did not demand that Lakeside Alliance stop construction.
