Yes, Justin Fields maybe is the QB1 now. He was fantastic. He is an elite athlete with the speed of the best running backs. He is bigger than lamar jackson and just as fast. But since changing his season, in three games he has rushed 37 times for 320 yards with three scores. That’s a pace of 209 races in a season. Is that something you can program for your QB and expect him to stick with? I say, “No way.” Seven carries a set, maybe three or four by design is really the maximum. That’s 119 bins. His pace the last three weeks is insane. It is not a sustainable business model.
Noah Fan is the big story in Seattle. I don’t know if we can trust him, but 96 yards on six targets is an automatic pick-up. Again, the Cardinals are terrible against tight ends. That seems to be their plan on this side of the ball. It’s weird.
DeAndre Hopkins lost a second TD on an illegal procedural appeal on Robbie Andersonwho didn’t seem to have his head in the game at all. Anderson talked about his retirement, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he quit midway through the season.
Ken Walker runs hard and is fast but the sea hawks really well drafted and have completely rebuilt their offensive line into one of the best units in the league.
Kliff Kingsbury needs to be fired. How was he hired? We knew in 2019 that Patrick Mahomes was a god, and my grandma, who never watched football, could have noticed that Kingsbury lost in college to maybe one of the best QBs ever, and that should be disqualifying .
The Rams have the worst expected future of any team. No choice. A bunch of terrible contracts. Matthew Stafford looks hurt. Their best players (cooper blow) will be over 30 next year. They can’t block. They don’t rush. There is no second WR. No turning back. They had nine first downs and were 4 for 15 on third down. Sean McVay will destroy his career if he honors this extension until 2026 that he signed. There is no hope here.
Tom Brady was also terrible until he pulled it out at the end. I’m pretty sure Doug Williams threw the last TD pass that chris godvin Mark. I guess it was around 1979.
The Falcons are the weirdos dolphins. They also run their passing game with just two players. On Sunday, Kyle Pitts and Drake London combined for 14 of the team’s 24 targets. But they had 50 yards, not even four yards per target. Marcus Mariota left about 73 yards and a field-winning TD late in the game, missing a wide-open Pitts. Mariota is one of the worst QBs we’ve seen. It’s as if he were a beginner.

Do Cordarelle Patterson do you still deserve to be the RB with the most touches in Atlanta? He found dirt twice. It saved the day for him, but he was outclassed by the other two fullbacks in that horrible three-man committee. I would look to move Patterson.
josh palm tree on average 10 meters per target. I have to give him credit. He’s a WR2 as long as the two mike williams and Keenan Allen (who makes his Michael Thomas printing) came out.
But there is no juice in this passing game. Justin Herbert is averaging 6.4 yards per attempt. That’s a 1.1 drop from last year (when he wasn’t much better than average in the stat). Over the past four weeks, Herbert has four touchdowns. You’re not crazy if you’re looking to bench Herbert. But QB is so weak.
Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle get 60-70% of Dolphins yards each week. A team with a top corner (or two very good ones) will end this attack. This team is not Bear.
Miami’s defense is nothing special. They were 23rd in yards allowed and gave up 368 to Chicago. (See, Dolphins fans, this is taking free photos of the Dolphins, which I didn’t last week. Now you can complain in the comments.)
Whether Mayfield Baker is back, DJ Moore may be back on the outs. But according to Michael Florio (not that one) of the NFL Network, Moore had a 40%+ air-yard share with Mayfield in the second half.

Joe Mixon is still among the leaders in expected fantasy points given that the bengals use it as if it were their RB fantasy. But he had the most fantasy points by a player all year with five touchdowns against carolina.
Come with Aaron Rodgers. It’s just painful. It is in decline. Not everyone plays in their 40s at the peak of their game. We were spoiled by Drew Brees and Tom Brady. Rodgers’ YPA is a career low. He already has more picks than any season since 2017. He just scored nine points against the league’s worst defense. It’s his season at 39. It’s super old. Rich Gannon was 2002 MVP at age 37 and that was it. It was washed from the following year.
I like Allen Lazard, who has five touchdowns and well over 400 yards in seven games. Who would believe we would be happy to start a Rodgers WR – but not Rodgers. Lazard has a huge catch radius and can go deep. You gon’ roll your eyes, but he honestly reminds me mike evans.
What about Aaron Jones? He ran to the locker room after spraining his ankle. Then things seemed to go south:

The Colts-Patriots were just a brutal watch. Get this: Teams combined for 19 first downs and 324 yards. Not averaged, combined! The Foals were 0 for 14 on the third down and 0 for 2 on the fourth. Good God. Good one more: 2.0 yards per play for the Colts and 3.3 for the patriots. The teams started the game with nine yards on the first 23 plays. Uncle!
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but they must understand matt ryan in there. I think Frank Reich will probably be fired this week. I would fire him.
Michael Carter is much better than james robinson but the Jets want Robinson to run between the tackles. The Jets kind of squeezed it down the Bills’ throat to win the game without their best RB and most of their starting offensive line.

Jets fans don’t care Elijah Moore but he ran 24 routes and had no targets. Denzel Mims had more snaps and is a top blocker plus he made the catch that really won the match as it forced the Invoices spend all of their timeouts before the Jets score the game-winning basket in the final two minutes.
The weird thing about Zach Wilson is he second in the NFL in QBR when not under pressure (he may have passed Patrick Mahomes given how awful Mahomes was under pressure on Sunday night). The analysis of projected QBs is that no-pressure stats are best because it’s the largest sample and the offense can limit pressure through scheming. Sunday: 17 for 21 for 145 yards and a TD (near-perfect 91.3 QBR).
The Bills have problems offensively, but only a top defense like the Jets can exploit them. Buffalo can beat every other AFC team with Josh Allen and their passing game. But the Jets got 15 pressures and five sacks on Allen despite only blitzing twice. So they were able to drop seven. Also, the Jets have two top corners and if you stop Stefan Diggs to make big plays, who else is going to beat you? It’s a style that frustrates Allen (and any QB). Allen was throwing deep and that was the wrong way to play on Sunday. Allen looked absent but that was because he had to play low ball and refused.
Gabe Davis is one of the worst calls I have ever made. The process was good. The modeling was solid. I studied it well. But not only is he not a No. 2 receiver, he’s barely a No. 3 receiver.
TJ Hockenson surprised with nine targets. It was another ugly offensive play. Kirk Cousins started 9 for 10, then went to 13 for 30 from there.
Same for Derek Carrwho just fell apart after a hot start where he had the kind of chemistry with Davante Adams we dreamed of. It was, however, fleeting.
Yes, after that I just totally bought for Josh Jacobs, it was pretty terrible. So drop it at the bottom of the first level of RB.
Christian Kirk is probably a WR2, at least borderline.
Trevor Lawrence was fine after jaguars fell behind 17-0 minutes into the second quarter. I’m really rooting for Lawrence and Fields and Wilson. The league needs new blood at QB to replace Stafford, Brady, Rodgers.
