Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em is the ultimate look at the best and worst matches based on a PPR rating system in fantasy football. This column will not cover elite NFL players like Josh Allen, Jonathan Taylor or Cooper Kupp. Instead, I’ll look at the players you have questions about who might exceed or fall short of expectations at each position. Week 6 Start ‘Em: Quarterbacks
Beginning of the week
Kyler Murray at Seahawks (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): Murray hasn’t been what you’d call consistent the past few weeks, scoring less than a fantastic 16.5 points in two of his last three games. Still, he remains a staple in a game that could be a points bonanza (he started at 51.5 at If Sportsbook). Murray also averaged a fantastic 20+ points in his five career games against the Seahawks.
start them
Tom Brady at Steelers (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Brady has had a slow start this season, but he’s now had two solid back-to-back games against the Chiefs and Falcons. I would keep him in the starting lineups this week as well, as he faces a shocked Steelers team that just gave Josh Allen four touchdown passes. in half! Overall, Pittsburgh has given up at least a fantastic 17.9 points in four quarters in six games.
Joe Terrier in Saints (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Burrow has been solid the past few weeks, amassing at least a fantastic 17.3 points in three straight games while averaging 20.1 points in that span. I’d throw it against the Saints, who allowed a fantastic 24 points to Geno Smith last week and also gave up nearly 20 points to Marcus Mariota earlier in the season. Search Burrow to produce another attractive line of statistics.
Geno Smith vs. Cardinals (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): I have to give props to Smith. I didn’t believe in him, but he’s averaging almost a fantastic 20 points per game after five weeks. He completes a banana 75.2% of his passes and has scored 10 total touchdowns with just two turnovers. Next up is a date with the Cardinals, who have allowed three quarterbacks to score at least a fantastic 19 points against them.
Kirk Cousins at Dolphins (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Cousins, listed as the starting QB last week, posted a season-high 22.2 fantastic points in a win over the Bears. He’ll also be a good option this week, as the veteran faces a Dolphins defense that’s allowed more than 20 fantastic points to three different quarterbacks, including more than 40 to Josh Allen. With four teams on a bye, Cousins will be a No. 1 low-end quarterback.

Week 6 Sit ‘Em: Quarterbacks
Seat of the week
Russell Wilson at Chargers (Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN): Wilson has looked like a shell of himself, scoring less than a fantastic 18 points in all but one game. That includes three games in which he finished with less than 12 points. It’s hard to get him to sit with four teams on a bye, so I’d temper expectations against a Chargers team that gave up less than 18 points to all but one quarterback.
Sit down
Matthew Stafford vs. Panthers (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): Stafford has been brutal over the past three weeks, scoring a fantastic 27.3 points with a touchdown. He just doesn’t look good, and his offensive line got him sacked 21 times in five games. So while this week’s game against the Panthers may not be great on paper, it’s hard to trust Stafford in a one-quarterback league.
matt ryan vs. Jaguars (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Ryan struggled to produce in the stat sheets, posting five touchdowns and 10 turnovers in his first five games as a Colt. That includes a Week 2 game against this week’s opponent, the Jaguars, where he was limited to just 1.8 points. Their defense also allowed more than a fantastic 16 points to a single quarterback in their first five games of the season.
Marcus Mariota vs. 49ers (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Mariota is coming off a top-10 finish among quarterbacks, scoring nearly a fantastic 18 points in a loss to the Buccaneers. I wouldn’t chase those points even in the bye weeks, though, because this week’s game against the Niners is tough. Their defense allowed just two touchdown passes and just a fantastic 8.9 points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Daniel Jones vs. Ravens (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Jones played well in last week’s win over the Packers, but it didn’t translate to fantastic points (12.4). Additionally, he hasn’t scored more than 16 points in all but one game this season. The Ravens haven’t been great against quarterbacks, but only Tua Tagovailoa (outlier game) and Josh Allen have scored more than 18 fantastic points against them in 2022.
